Harpia Meta Mate, Aged and WIld. The Real Craft Mate by Gehm Family.

Craft WIld Mate Barbacua produced. Dried using an artisanal drying process that provides a smokey aroma with a unique flavor. A method used by our ancestors and still used by the Gehm Family.

Normally, most of the mate production in Argentina and Uruguay are aged and come from storage and monocoulture and in Meta Mate, since the beginning, we started with fresh wild Mate from Forest and now we want to bring that kind of taste of stored mate for the wild mate done by hand.

The choice of the name was referred to Harpia, the big bird in America. Many mates have the name of birds, like Canarias, Ximango, Pajarito, all famous brands of Mate which have birds names, but the biggest of all birds which now is in risk of exctinction, the Harpia, we want to make a tribute to this bird.

Our dreams are to live close to trees connecting the whole Nature with us. From Nature we receive dreams of upgrading energy pulses.

The Harpia, launched in June 2023, is the first attempt by the Gehm family to age a mate. The cut is done using the same machine used for the Leafy Melody Craft. Since Meta Mate has acquired experience and taste from making chimarrao, we strongly recommend adding 20% chimarrao powder to Harpia in order to achieve the acquired full-bodied taste that complements the leafy aged mate with powdered form.
